REGISTRATION

• Once registered, competitors’ cars may be parked at the designated area. Only registered vehicle shall be allowed to enter and park at the LOUDMATCH area of the event venue.

• The dBsport board of inspectors shall then determine the class of the vehicle based on the registration form. Thereafter, a thorough inspection of the vehicle shall be done. Approval of the inspector is required before the vehicle is given a competitor number. Refund or any form of cancellation shall no longer be allowed after the vehicle is inspected.

• There must be at least 2 competitors per category.

ELIMINATIONS

• The board shall announce the pairings for each classes. There will be two vehicles to be staged simultaneously( at the discretion of the board). All the vehicles’ doors must be closed. A marshall shall signal the drivers to start. The competitor is given 60 seconds to crank the loudest their system is capable using only the provided cd. Cabin light must be on while the meter is reading. Doors and window should not be moved while the meter is reading…thereafter, the driver must open the windows/doors for the second reading, again, doors and windows cannot be moved. The official dBsport rating shall be the average of the two readings The marshall shall then signal the competitor to turn off their system.

• The STREET CLASS shall be held first, followed by the MILD CLASS then finally, the WILD CLASS The vehicle shall be driven to the staging area.

• The volume may only be controlled by the owner or representative of the owner. He may be substituted only after a notice is given to the marshall or inspector prior to the staging of the vehicle. Substitution shall not be allowed after or during the staging of the vehicle.

• The maximum voltage for all the categories shall be 18 volts while the engine is running.

• Vehicles with modified charging system may only compete in the WILD class.

• In the STREET CLASS, the subwoofers must be mounted in the original trunk area( retractable seat must be locked in the upright position). No vans, wagons, hatchbacks, liftbacks or any vehicle without trunk shall be allowed in the street class, they may compete only in mild or wild class. A front system not larger than 6×9 must be installed in stock location, a pair is only allowed both in front and rear. More than that, it will be transferred to the MILD class.

• Those in the lower class may still go up and compete in other classes provided they pay the registration fee which is 50% of the first/original registration fee paid by the competitor. Registration must be done before the elimination of the next class starts.

• Competitors shall not compete directly to a higher class. He must first register to the official class based on the determination of the board as to the number of subwoofers installed.

• In the MILD class, the enclosure must have a maximum height not higher than the top of the rear seat (minus headrest) and the base of the window/s beside the enclosure, otherwise, he goes to compete in the wild/wall class. Furthermore, any other materials which can be considered as an integral part of the enclosure , like brackets/ support, port, tube, or any other part of the subwoofer, amplifier and other accessories, should likewise not exceed the maximum height imposed, otherwise, it shall be eligible only to compete in the wild/ wall class. Trunk class may now join the mild class with their backrest removed.

• The competitor is required to wear ear protection during the competition. If there is none, competitor automatically waives liability from dBsport and shall attest that dBsport shall not be liable to whatever adverse effect which shall result therefrom.

• The competitor shall be solely responsible for the protection and security of his car and equipment, because even as the organizers provide ample security, it cannot keep an eye to every move of every person in the area.

• During the measurement process, no additional power supply shall be allowed. Furthermore, any substitution to any of the equipment after the vehicle is inspected, shall be notified with any marshall or inspector for proper recording.

• In street and mild categories, front and second row seats are required in upright position. Otherwise, they shall be classified to join the wild class.

• The microphone/sensor shall be placed in the windshield adjacent to the front passenger seat for the STREET and MILD Classes. The backrests for the front seats and the backseats shall not be allowed to be tilted. The microphone shall be at the center of the passenger seat positioned on a level horizontal plane towards the dash of the vehicle. For the WILD CLASS, the microphone may be placed at any seat at the discretion of the competitor.

• Fuse, fuse blocks, batteries and proper wiring shall be strictly inspected after the eliminations. If there are defects or findings of being unsafe or dangerous installation, competitor is immediately disqualified and any winning shall be forfeited and any record of reading shall not be recognized.

• For those who violated the abovementioned procedure, warning may be given. If there are simple violations, such as but not limited to discourtesy to other competitors and marshalls and inspectors, a total of two warnings shall be given and recorded. Third violation is automatic disqualification. However, Error in the crank/volume control procedure while the meter is reading shall result to automatic disqualification.

• Competitors disqualified may re-enter/ re-register as soon as the error is rectified, subject to the approval of the board.

• Second chance are given to those who lose a round or for those whose system stopped, jumped, blocked or those which broke down. PhP 500 will be charged for those competitors. Second chances, however shall be allowed up to third round only. The competitor must avail of the second chance as soon before the next class starts. Late availment of the second chance shall be tantamount to the entry/upgrade to the next higher class.

• Other rules and policies shall be determined by the dBsport inspectors with the objective of fair, honest and clean competition.
